We do appeals right through to the Supreme Court.
Tony Bamford has been involved, as a defence lawyer, in hundreds of trials and has secured not guilty verdicts in murder, manslaughter and serious drug cases as well as cases involving charges such as rape and aggravated robbery.
We have a capable team of lawyers, legal executives and support staff to undertake preparation work for any trial and we will take on any case in the Nelson Marlborough and West Coast areas, and further afield in serious cases.
We take cases on a private paying basis and we will give you a clear idea of the fees we charge, or we may be able to do the case under legal aid if you qualify. Please ask and we will be happy to help. We will advise you all the way through the Court process and if necessary we will engage expert witnesses who may be able to assist your case.
We also undertake civil and commercial litigation in the District and High Courts. Additionally we deal with cases such as professional disciplinary proceedings for health professionals as other professions and we also take cases before the Environment Court under the Resource Management Act. We will assist in drafting and advising you on the terms of employment agreements as these are critical in any employment relationship.
This includes relationship property agreements, the division of relationship property following separation, taking cases to Court and representing parties to disputes over relationship property matters, often where businesses or family trusts are involved.
We represent clients in relation to care of children cases where parties are working through the stresses associated with the breakup of a relationship where children are involved. Additionally we take on cases where protection orders are needed and also where they are to be defended.
